Answers to common questions — how the app works, and how your data and privacy are protected.
Your privacy in one paragraph
Your CVs, cover letters and applications are private to your account. Every database row is protected by row-level security so only you can read or change your own data. Traffic is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed and checked against known-leaked-password lists on signup, and file uploads are kept in a private, per-user storage bucket. We do not sell your data and we do not use your documents to train AI models — they are sent to the AI provider only to produce your requested output.

› What does Jobgetty do?
Jobgetty helps you tailor your CV and cover letter to a specific job posting, then export ATS-friendly PDFs and Word files. It also finds relevant jobs, tracks your applications, and generates interview preparation.
› How do I create my first tailored CV?
Open the Studio, paste or upload your existing CV, paste the job description (or a job URL), fill in the target role and company, then click Analyze followed by Generate CV. You can then export the tailored CV as PDF or Word.
› Do I need an account?
No — you can use the CV and cover-letter editor without an account. Signing in unlocks saved CVs, saved cover letters, application tracking, interview preparation, and syncing across devices.
› Which languages are supported?
English, German, French and Italian for both the interface and the generated documents. You can pick the output language independently of the interface language.

› How do I switch CV templates?
In the Studio, open the CV format picker and select a layout. You can also override colors (accent, headings, body, background) per template.
› Can I keep multiple CVs?
Yes. Signed-in users get a personal CV library — upload as many CVs as you need, rename them, and reuse them whenever you generate a new tailored version.
› What are ATS formats?
ATS (Applicant Tracking System) templates use a single-column, high-contrast layout with plain section headings so automated resume parsers can read them reliably. By default they omit photos; you can force a photo per CV if you want.
Cover letter
› How do I save a generated cover letter?
After generating, click Save in the Cover Letter card. It is stored in your account and appears in the Applications view and (if deleted) in the Trash.
› Can I edit a saved cover letter's name?
Yes — open the Applications view, click the pencil next to any entry, and rename the job title or company.
Account
› Where do deleted CVs and cover letters go?
Deleted items are moved to the Trash (in Profile → Trash). You can restore them at any time or delete them permanently.
› How do I change the UI colors?
Profile → UI Theme lets you customise the app's background, foreground and primary colors. Preferences are saved to your device.
› How do I sign out?
The Sign-out button sits next to the language switcher in the header.
Privacy & security
› Who can see my CVs and cover letters?
Only you. Every row in the database is protected by row-level security policies scoped to your user ID — no other user, including us, can read your documents through the normal application paths.
› Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your CV and job descriptions are sent to the AI provider only to generate your document, and are not used for training. We do not sell personal data.
› How do you keep my account secure?
Authentication uses Supabase Auth with hashed passwords and (optionally) leaked-password checks against the Have I Been Pwned database. Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies where the browser supports them. All traffic is served over HTTPS.
› Can I delete my account and all my data?
Yes — contact support or use the account deletion flow in the profile page. This removes your profile, CVs, applications, and any generated documents.
Data & storage
› Where is my data stored?
In a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase / Lovable Cloud) hosted in the EU by default. File uploads (PDF CVs) are stored in a private bucket that requires an authenticated request scoped to your user.
› What data do you keep about me?
Only what you enter: profile fields (name, contact, address), your uploaded/generated CVs and cover letters, saved job postings, and application tracking notes. We also keep minimal auth/audit logs for security.
› Do you use cookies?
We use cookies only for authentication (keeping you signed in) and a few optional preferences (language, theme). No tracking cookies for advertising.
